Perth

I'm now at Perth, just got here about 4 days ago. Last week was a mad rush of saying goodbyes and preparing my stuff to come over here, next thing I know I'm on a plane. Managed to get an internet connection only yesterday, only managed to look at the markets today.

The competition is just 14 days away and I haven't traded in a while. It seems that my system has entered into the lull state: It is 'out of phase' with the market and I must wait for it to be back in tune.

Until then no trades for me which is great as I can concentrate on my training here, tons of stuff to read up and learn.

A whole new chapter begins...

15th July 2008

Stayed up all night looking at the market for another possible trade. This time did a short on Russell2000 in the last 35mins of the trading hours, and managed to cover back my earlier losses.

Shorted the Russell2000, but got stopped out very fast. I placed the stop too close to the entry. But from this trade, I learn that there is a nice Fib level to put my stop loss if i come across to this setup again.

It's a long trade on Russell2000 again, was not a bad trade, considering everything went as planned; although I didn't expect market to come that close to my stop loss. Closed the position with profit of US$526.

Took a trade on Russell2000 yesterday, didn't enter at the price of my trade plan, but it was the best alternate entry I could find. Closed the position with profit of USD$424 and got some shut eye before the day starts.

Hi, welcome to my blog. Been away for some time and decided to rewrite the blog after signing up at www.tradingarcade.com (a pretty cool site for traders to post their profit and loss).

I am a pure technical trader, fundamental news tickles me.

I've just changed a new day job and now currently near the end of the first training phase. My exam results are out this Thursday, with one more paper remaining on Friday. I'm keeping my fingers (and toes) crossed. Hope for the best, plan for the worst.

I'm trading with CFDs and just signed up a trading competition. It begins on 8th August and last for 6 weeks. I can't wait for it to start, it'll be a good event to see how good I am compared to other day traders. Kinda like the olden day's martial art tournament.
